Vintage Christmas signs
Vintage Christmas signs
Yes, I still am on a vintage kick Here are a few more Vintage inspired Christmas signs. The candy cane sign was a miniature doll house sign I found It on Pinterest
I wanted to re-create it. I painted a Board cream, Then I used a reverse stencil technique. I cut my stencil using my silhouette machine on contact paper and put it on the board. I painted over the board and stencil in red paint. I let it dry, then peeled off the stencil. Last I gave the board a light sanding, to give it an aged look.
The next sign was found here Avry’s mom kept sending her this pin on pinterest. In one of our late night crafting adventure’s we made this sign together. I created a stencil on the silhouette machine (Avry gave me that official title Stencil Maker!) We placed the stencil on our board and sponge painted. We let it dry and then gave it a light sanding.

These signs are so beautiful. I kinda want a Silhouette now. Of course I know I won’t have the time to use it as much as it should be but it doesn’t mean I can’t ask Santa for one.

That is so cool! I am so not artistic at all but I love these stencils and the old-fashioned style they envision. I also don’t celebrate Christmas, but it’d be neat to see this style for some Chanukah decorations!

Those look so simple to make, but I know from experience that it can be a bit time consuming. These signs look really good. Thanks for sharing this idea for a holiday decoration.

I’ve been wanting to make some signs for Christmas decor, I even have a stack of pallets in preparation to do it – I’m running out of time! I’m pinning maybe next year I’ll actually do it with my Silhouette machine. 🙂 Your signs turned out amazing!
