Vintage St. Patrick’s Clover Truck Pillow
Vintage St. Patrick’s day Truck With Glittered Gold Clovers.
All over blog land this cute little vintage truck has shown up and in the bed of this vintage truck has been anything from pumpkins to hearts to clovers and stars. Christine over at Cutting for Business was kind and generous enough to share a YEAR’S worth of FREE red truck holiday SVG files. WAHOO!!! There is nothing better than a fellow blogger sharing their creativity. Seriously, I love bloggers who inspire one another and let them use their ideas! So shout out to Christine us ladies at Craftyourself.com thank you!
This next part is where it gets fun. Krystal and I took the SVG file and used the St. Patrick’s day clover truck file to put on a pillow.
It was such a simple project! transfer the SVG file to our cutting software and choose the color of Iron on Vinyl you would like. We chose Green for the truck and glittered gold for the clovers.
You can find a tutorial here: envelope pillow pattern to sew your own pillow. Using white fabric on the front of the pillow and left over soft burlap from another project it was sewn up in less than 5 minutes. Using our personal cutting machine we cut the truck and weeded out the extra pieces surrounding the truck. Here is where the project got a bit messy for us.
As a result of getting caught up in the moment we didn’t do the mirror image in the cutting software so the cute little saying “Pinch Patrol” from the SVG file and so the phrase ended up being backwards for us!! After seeing this mistake we knew it was time to improvise (ALWAYS mirror when using iron on vinyl).
To fix this little miss-hap cut out a small square in white iron on vinyl to cover up our mishap. (We were not willing to let good iron on vinyl go to waste!) Ironed it over top of the “pinch patrol” wording and added a gold clover. You would have never guessed we messed up!
Pinterest fail SAVE!! This Vintage St. Patrick’s Clover Truck pillow turned out absolutely adorable! I added it to my back hall nook bench! In conclusion if you look hard enough you will see this little Vintage truck popping up all over Pinterest and why wouldn’t it? IT IS ADORABLE!

How adorable! I have a thing for throw pillows and this one is so pretty. I have a red truck one for Christmas, but I’ve never seen one for St. Patrick’s Day. Love it!

What a fun DIY! I am not the craftiest person out there, let alone know how to use the sewing machine – something I should practice! Great job!

This is a great DIY project! Love the idea and it seems that it is not something that is too difficult either. Thanks for the tips and instructions!

Very cute crafty pillow! I wouldn’t choose a truck design myself, but I’d be interested in making a pillow with a picture of my cute little dog’s face on it!

What a cute craft for St. Patrick’s Day. I love to decorate for the holidays but not as great as you. I usually just choose holiday themed colors for throw pillow covers or curtains. I wish I was as crafty as you.
