Vintage Winter Carnival Board
I have been feeling like my January décor is still lacking. I have been looking for ideas to add to my home décor. I came across a vintage winter carnival design online. I really liked the idea. The sign I found had a lot of yellow and red in it, I wasn’t really digging the color scheme it was done in. I decided to design my to own to fit with my blue and white winter décor for January. I used most of the same wording and added a few of my own ideas to the winter contest area of the board. I designed the wording using my personal cutting machine, and cut out the design on teal vinyl. I painted a 22″ X 10″ board white, while the board was drying I cut out a few different designs and sizes of snowflake templates. I placed the templates all over the painted board and sponge painted the snowflakes gray. Next I gave the board a quick sand to give it a vintage feel. I centered and applied the vinyl design. Last I covered the board in Mod Podge and sprinkled a clear glitter over the entire board to give it a snow or icicle effect.
The board is so SPARKLY!!! I love how it catches the light and fits perfect with my other January décor.
