What can you do with a zipper?

I was up to my parents for Easter weekend and my mom said my aunt had a bunch of buttons we could go sort through so we headed down to my Aunt Tamera’s. While there she brought out bags and bags of zippers she had picked up somewhere for dirt cheap and said I could have some.. I wish I had grabbed more!! I have all sorts of ideas going through my head as to what I can do with these zippers. I have seen all over online necklaces made from them, rings, pins, wall hangings, pillows, on the tops of shoes oh I could go on and on. So I grabbed a few!

So my awesome mom who loves to sew and is 1,000 times better than me on the sewing machine zipped a loose stitch through each zipper for me. (in a matter of less than 5 minutes)

Then I began to pull the thread and start twisting!!

I am making a cluster of these for a necklace along with some felt rosettes. I think they will be very cute together and will have to show you that project once done.

A zipper can even look cute on your finger!! My sister Tiffany ended up with this cute ring!

I have worn a few and had oodles of compliments on them with everyone wondering where I “purchased them” I do still get to make my aunt a few things for giving me the zippers to begin with.. Thanks Tamera for the zippers and Thanks mom for sewing up the sides of them for me!
