Wooden Valentine Hearts
I had the cutest little wooden wreath made of hearts that a friend had given me last year for my Birthday. When I was decorating using all of my Valentine decor. My wreath somehow got broken. I didn’t know how to repair it without it looking terrible so I opted to pull the hearts off and re use them.
I took 2×4 wood and cut it into 4 different 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ square blocks. I sanded the edges then drilled holes in the center of each block to fit a 3/8″ dowel. I cut one dowel into 4 pieces making 2 of the pieces 6″ long and the other 2 pieces 9″ long. I glued each dowel into the center of the wood blocks where I had drilled holes. So they ended up looking like this:
This is where the real fun begins. I painted each wooden stand black then glued the left over hearts from my wreath onto the dowels. I added some red glittery ribbon and then they were ready for display. This project took less then an hour from start to finish!
